(Monthly data on the origins of crude oil imports in June 2012 shows that two countries exported more than 1 million barrels per day to the United States � Canada and Saudi Arabia. Canada accounted for 27 percent of all U.S. crude oil imports in June 2012. The top five exporting countries accounted for 68 percent of all U.S. crude oil imports in June 2012 while the top ten sources accounted for approximately 88 percent of all U.S. crude oil imports. The top five sources of U.S. crude oil imports for June 2012 were Canada (2,460 thousand barrels per day), Saudi Arabia (1,456 thousand barrels per day), Mexico (862 thousand barrels per day), Venezuela (750 thousand barrels per day) and Iraq (649 thousand barrels per day)---please see EIA, June 2012 Import Highlights.
